O2 Sim Hello.
I am in Australia.
I bought a O2 Sim card off ebay a week ago. It was sealed in a O2
Envelope which said "Welcome. Up to 1000 Free UK texts are waiting for
you every month".
I understand this SIM card has No credit (money) on it. So I don't
expect to use it to dial others, or to SMS others. I just want to
recieve calls.
I have put the SIM card in an unlocked mobile phone, turned the phone
on, and roamed to our local reciprical provider "OPTUS AUSTRALIA".
All good thus far. It works properly. I can reach the Recharge line
and Customer Service okay.
Yet, I call the SIM card's 07864xxxxxx number with my mobile on.
Whenever I try dialing +447864xxxxxx from another of my local
phones here, it says in a UK accent: "It has not been possible to
connect your call. Please try again later".
In Australia, any SIM cards you buy can be called, internationally or
locally. Even with no credit on them.
Do UK SIM's need money on them to be called?
