eBay used phones FYI I purchased a Motorola V325 on eBay from consumersolutions $50.00+-
It would not accept a charge
"unauthorized charger" message
Upon closer examination the Red Dot @ battery bay was evident and 2 of
the 4 screws were missing.
After dealing with email bots it was returned with a 50% of original
shipping fee = $7.50 which I protested and haven't heard back about.
Needing a V325
I again (foolish) won a V325 from consumersolutions @ $60.00+-
This arrived and would charge.
The batttery bay Red Dot had been removed and staining was evident all 4
screws were missing.
The p.c.b. red dot was also evident.
Upon checking the original phone number was listed
So I called it.
The person answering it said they had dropped the phone in a lake and
had retrieved it from about 8' of water.
He had insurance and returned it to Verizon was charged $25 to transfer
contacts (Didn't know about Backup assistant)
I also found his address and several others in the VZ Navigator app.
I think this is unethical for Verizon to let a phone with personal
information leave it's procession.
It's also unethical for a company/individual to resell these units.
I hope this enlightens a few people and maybe stirs the soup a little.
Buyers Beware a lot of companies and people will bone you in a New York
second.
