Can anyone tell me, is there a way to delete the voicemail "spool" symbol
from my Nokia 6310i without having to call up and listen to the message..?

The reason is that I just missed a call, I saw who it was from by the
caller ID, I was half expecting the call and pretty well knew what they
were calling about so I rang them straight back, unfortunately in the
meantime they'd left a message.

I don't need to listen to the message, as I know what it's about, but I do
want to get rid of the spool symbol without having to pay 10p/min for the
privilege of listening to a message I don't need/want to listen to.

The network is Tesco PAYG (with the spool symbol set as the alert option
rather than the default SMS message).
