Two Wireless Routers in Home I would like to set up a second wireless router in my home to get better coverage throughout. I already have the hardware...here's what I have.
Linksys WRT54G Set to 192.168.1.1 and hardwired to my DSL modem
Desktop/Server is hardwired to one of the ports on this.
SSID NetworkG, Channel 11
Dlink DI-524 This is the new one I want to add. I had hoped to hardwire
this unit off of the WRTG4G and locate it on the opposite
side of the house. SSID NetworkX, Channel 2
If I set the DI-524 with the default address of 192.168.0.1, with the DHCP server enabled, I am able to connect wirelessly to the to the internet without problem, however I am unable to connect to the server.
I've tried setting the address to 192.168.1.100 and tried enableing and disabling the DHCP without success.
Anyone have an idea how to set this up so I can get to the server?
Thanks
