Happened again this morning. Turned the phone on at 5 AM. Was
2.5G.....looked again at 9 AM and it was 2G again.
My SIM is a few years old....so I assume it is 2G.
Could Optus have changed the local setup recently? And, maybe, my SIM
is having problems coping?
No idea.
Would ring Optus.....but help lines drive me crazy. Only use them as a
last resort.

When on 2G, I get a Data icon.
When I am on 2.5G, a Packet Data Available icon.
Didn't get either until recently.
