I have experienced similar success using my Wi-Fire. It really works well in places that I otherwise wouldn't have had any connection. The directional antenna is very helpful, and the set up was extremely simple, too. The Wi-Fire definitely gets more access points than I ever imagined. Now I just can't wait for hField to come out with the Mac version - that will be very useful too!
