Not really, once you have to do it using naval forces, once they are on the
ships etc, it really doesnt make a lot of difference how far they have to go.

India was having enough trouble keeping the Japs from knocking them
off next and stopping that arsehole Ghandi from joining the Japs etc.

NZ is too small to have mattered a damn to the Japs.
