Whether we like it or not, the iPhone is news, and, IMO, news-worthy. Hell,
it might not even be called the iPhone by the time it's introduced because
Cisco apparently has some claim to that name. But the real news to Verizon
subscribers is whether the introduction of the iPhone acts like the
proverbial tide that lifts all boats. Wouldn't it be good news for
consumers (especially Verizon customers) to be able to get phones with
better software, more flexibility, and uncrippled functions? Verizon has
shown that they are not generally a leader in those areas. I'm sort of
stuck with Verizon due to reception issues, so let's hope the iPhone forces
them to respond. That way we all win. I'm not holding my breath by the
way!
