It could be any number of things:

1. The Sprint tower is nearer to your house.
2. The Verizon phone you had was not one that was good for reception.
3. The Verizon phone was not using an update PRL that gave you ability to
connect to the tower in your area.

At any rate, I stand by my claim....Verizon is *FAR* better than Sprint, in
network and customer service and support.
