You are simply fooling yourself.

Next time I am in OC, I'll verify your "claims". You'd better be prepared
to defend
your claims! I just checked my bill from Verizon...I was in OC in February,
and there
were *NO* roaming charges. All calls were made from the Verizon network.

As I recall, I was working with a young woman who had T-mobile, for her
smart phone provider.
Her phone would not work, and she tried to use a Sprint phone that someone
had. The Sprint
phone would not work either. My Verizon phone worked just fine, and I have
two calls listed on
my bill that she made to her home office in DFW. She only used my phone on
that occasion, and
AFAIK she was never able to use her phone at all while we were in OC.

She was able to use her phone in Vegas during CES.
