Dammit! I made the mistake of looking on YouTube for more N800
videos tonight and it cost me $200! This guy:
http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=thoughtfix
from Tabletblog.com has a series of videos on the Nokia GPS
Navigation Kit for the N800 from unboxing it to testing it on the
road. I couldn't stand it. Buy.com is just so EASY to order
from....(c; Mine'll be here by monday. The program and maps
come on a 2GB SDmini with the SD adapter. You just plug it in
and it installs itself, then BT pair with the tiny, rechargeable
Bluetooth GPS receiver.

He also does a video on the GPS on a preliminary model 810, which
has the GPS built inside it. The N800's external GPS, INSIDE his
Phoenix apartment, locked up OUT OF THE BOX in about 4 seconds,
flat from a cold start! The N810 took 4 minutes, but that's
probably not fair as it's a demo model, not production. I think
I like the idea of the external BT GPS receiver separate, better,
too. If you're in a vehicle with poor GPS view of the sky, you
can put the GPS receiver OUTSIDE the vehicle, exposed to the sky,
and the BT will transmit to the N800 INSIDE, easy....remote
control. The GPS kit is really tiny, easy to pocket to use while
walking, biking, hiking, or riding my Honda Reflex scooter..(c;

The kit has a really nice mounting kit to the windshield, too.

Dammit YouTube....$200!
