Visit the HP site and search on the model number. They have decent online help, firmware and file updates that you can download.

I have an older HP laptop that no longer works in wireless mode with the HP software. I installed a better wireless card a while back (Orinico) and it came with a better wireless manager than Windows, so I am able to be wireless. But as to why the built in system stopped working, I have no clue. It used to work along side the Orinoco application, but I suspect a Windows update may have broken the original system.
