Eh, flash on the phones is overrated, at best. I've got a brand new VX6800
with flash, and the wife has the VX8350. The flash "works" but nowhere near
as well as a real digital camera. The 8350 isn't half-bad in low-light
situations, it's actually a little better than the XV6800. So unless you're
sure that the flash will actually help it probably shouldn't be something
you're too worried about.
I disagree with the folks that blather on about 'carry a camera instead'.
They're idiots. I like having a camera in the phone and appreciate it for
it's convenience, not it's photographic excellence. Same thing for
megapixels, once you're beyond 2mp it's pointless for most people's
point-and-shoot needs. I've got a Nikon D40 and a D40X and except for the
rare situations where I need to crop out a small portion of the picture the
added megapixels are useless. But more often than not when we're on
vacation I can point-shoot and move on using my tiny Canon SD-630 a whole
helluva lot faster than the SLR, and get equal picture quality (for
point-and-shoot vacation stuff).
