Guys,

I have a Nokia N95 phone (6 months old) & an Optus 3G USIM card (18
months old).

Most of the time when I have 3G coverage the phone signal strength is
high or full, but if I make or receive a call, 85% of the time it will
immediately drop back to 2G, the other 15% of the time at some stage
during the call it will drop back to 2G & then come back to 3G, is this
likely to be a phone fault or USIM card fault?

The reason I ask is because one of the other work phones, a band new
Nokia 6120 Classic & band new Optus 3G USIM card has high to full 3G
coverage in an area that I get none or only 1 bar of service, even if I
lock the phone to 3G.
