Default Is Sprint messing around with Nextel service? "if you reply use thispost"

Starting about three months ago, I noticed a lot more calls being sent
to voice mail and more "No Service" entries on my i870. At 1st I slough
it off and did not pay it much attention. But now its gotten worse. I
can be in places that I have had good full service now only to have my
phone say "No Service". But that is not true with two other friends
that have the newer "ic" phones.

I've had my i870 for a little over 2 years, and its been one of the
better phones that I've had from "Nextel". And I also take reasonable
good care not to drop or damage the phone.

So, should I suspect that my i870 phone is just aging or is Sprint
playing tricks to get people to upgrade to the "ic" phones or change to
a non-Nextel, Sprint phone?
