I have suggested this router to many people, and its the D-link DGL-4300 Gaming router. On a list, comparing data through put, it was third place in a list of over 50 routers (router like Netgear, Linksus, and Buffalo). It also held third, compared to the wireless N router of different companies (like Netgear, Linksus, and Buffalo).
In order to obtain full 108 mbps transfer rate, you will have to buy the PCI cards that match that speed or are capable of that speed, like: the D-link RangeBooster G desktop adapter (WDA-2320), the D-link Wireless 108G Desktop Adapter (DWL-G520), and the Wireless 108G MIMO Desktop Adapter (DWL-G520M), which may run for a little under 45$. If you don't buy these cards to go with this router, you will only get half that speed (54 mbps)
(the DWL-G650 should give you 108 mbps speeds for your laptop)
What I really like about the DGL-4300, is that it is consistent and it gives me better range than my old N router. This one has only randomly restarted once since I bought it, 5 months ago. This router also gives me five bars on one of my computers, 50 feet away, through 4 dry walls, and five bars on one down stairs which is 70 feet away.
This router does cost a lot, but I feel it was worth it that I didn't have to put up with the random restarts or loss of connectivity anymore. Two of my computers use the WDA-2320, two others use the DWL-G520, and one of them uses the DWL-G520M, and they all work absolutely flawless.
Hope I helped some
