I think we are missing some info.
I would like you to do the following:
1. Run ipconfig /all and post the result here.
2. Switch off the 6520, and leave switched off, and run ipconfig /all . Is it the same as in 1?
3. Remove all cables, including the power cable, from the laptop and run ipconfig /all .Is it the same as in 1?
4. Go into the "wireless network connection properties"---->"wireless networks".
For every SSID you have listed go into the properties and on the connection tab uncheck the "connect when this network is in range" box. Run ipconfig /all. Is it the same as 1? You should not be automatically connecting to any wireless network so if you get an IP address do an ipconfig /release and try again.
5. Switch on your 6520 and go to your "view available wireless networks", since your laptop should not be automatically connecting to any network click on the SSID of your 6520 and see if it connects. Run ipconfig /all. Is it the same as 1? |
