I don't think there are any wireless boosters for your mike/wireless controller because I think the manufacturer would assume you'd be playing with it in the same room as the xbox360. But you might be able to find some hacks for it.

You can buy an access point that you can connect an Ethernet wire to, from the wired router so that you can have wireless internet. Personally, I recommend getting the same brand access point as your current router (Linksys), to avoid any possible compatibility problems. Also, make sure it has a detachable antenna on it so that you have the option of getting a new antenna for it if the signal isn't that great...

Something else to remember with wireless is that you have to encrypt your connection with security (WEP/WPA) or you'll get people from your neighborhood leaching off your connection. I use WPA-PSK because its much more secure than WEP, you just have to make sure your laptop supports WPA (which in all likeliness, does).
