I didn't get a reply from support when I raised it with them, however since
my posting here, I have had a response.

I believe that there is nothing in the email that should not be in the
public domain, but in case there is I shall apologies to VoipFone in advance
for publishing their communication to me, however I believe that it is for
the good of all concerned.

I do agree that they normally do response very quickly to support requests
through the online form, however perhaps I confused them by sending two
support requests to them both about the # key.

It has been brought to my attention that you are concerned about call
transfers and I thought would send you a mail to give you an explanation. We
have been working on new transfer features for the virtual PBX. One of the
bugs we encountered with the implementation of these new features is when
people are calling a Voipfone user they were able to then transfer the call.

As soon as we were alerted to the problem our engineers started working on
a fix. I am happy to inform you that this problem has now been resolved if a
person calling to you does happen to press the transfer button they will
hear the prompt but will not be able to transfer the call although the
ability for them to be able to send the # command is being removed too so
that they will no longer hear the prompt

The new features for the PBX should go live on our web site within the next
few days.
