So far, 3G pricing continues to follow a pricing model similar to the
early days of voice; charge a lot to a few business users that don't
care about price.

Everyone is scared to change the model, worrying that a) the business
users will begin paying less, but that the mass market won't
materialize, or b) the mass market _will_ materialize and the 3G network
will be overwhelmed.

With free WiFi present at most homes and businesses for computer
connectivity, how much are the masses going to pay for ubiquitous 3G
connectivity, mainly for handsets?

Perhaps unlimited off-peak, limited peak (throttled after the limit is
reached), can be the first step to lower-priced 3G for the masses,
without affecting the business users.
