This poses another question.
When a call to your DID is made, whether from another VOIP service or via
PSTN how does the VOIP provider know how to direct the call to your ATA?
Does the ATA actually make a network connection and log into the VOIP's
servers and to establish an 'always on' connection?
If this is the case and you need to do the same with your N95 or whatever
mobile that has a VOIP thingy in it, wouldn't that mean that your data
allowance is eaten into by this connection, let alone any calls that you
may make or receive?
