I'm sending this over a .14 mile link, 224 meters.

At this moment I have a 16 db yagi 25 feet up ( 7.58 meters ) - with 50 feet of LMR 400 to a Linksys WRT54G running as a bridge on DD-WRT software. The radio puts out 28 mW = 15 dBm ( no, I'm not converting that to metric Watts )

Performance is marginal, about -80 dBm received signal strength.

Other end is a standard Linksys router with a standard little black stick sitting in the window of a computer store. There are two other open hotspots in the same area.

When I have a few free minutes I will retrieve my 24 dB dish from storage. That should get me -72 at the router. Mounting the router on the mast and eliminating the LMR 400 should gain me another 3 db, and I will hit the other end with 12 more db. Should make a solid link.
