Good cold store right around the corner past the pharmacy. Down that
street to the head end of the gold souk, with so much gold jewelry it's
staggering....22K real gold!

The golf course is in the desert, so you have to carry around your own
square of Astroturf for driving to the beautifully manicured greens. Don't
miss the horse racing! Bahrain's racetrack is first class. If any Arab
wants to bet on those horses, be smart....RUN! They are also, recently,
into Formula 1 motor racing, the new national sport.

US Navy turned down my suggestion for a permanent Electronics/Electric shop
to service the ships so I could stay in the kingdom......dammit.
