That's if you make one or two calls only. If you spend the $36 then you
may wish to make more use of it, particularly if you wish to call home or
whether you wish to receive calls from family or friends while away.

After a visit to the US and taking up Telstra's "advice" that
international roaming was the way to go, when we got back we were
receiving bills 3 months later. All up it cost over $500 for the few calls
that were made or received. Next time it will be pre-paid SIMs or a couple
of "disposable" phones when we get there.
