Sure, quite a few that are flogging phones they have imported themselves do that.
The trouble is that if they go broke, you're fucked.

Sure, but thats just the ones that can go bust,
because their costs are higher than the shonks.

Yeah, I dont worry about it with cheap stuff, but prefer to
have the warranty with Nokia when its $1K class money
and am prepared to pay a bit more for the phone to get it.
Thats the main reason I havent bothered with an iphone yet,
you're SOL if there's a warranty claim and with that you cant
change even the battery as easily as with most mobile phones.

Yeah, but you do have to wonder about the origins of the first 8GB N95 with
NextG support sold in this country. You have to wonder if say they bodged
that up by using the firmware out of the non 8GB N95 into an 8GB N95 or what.
