Thanks for responding. My OS is XP. I don't think it will work. My laptop was not set up for wireless and has no wireless software installed. Plus my USB port is 1.1.

I tried plugging in the access point I use on my XBox and it worked, but it must be plugged into the wall. I need something that is battery powered or that will run off the computers power.
