Yes. When I signed up to a contract extension in January 2007 5mb
(woo! generous!) of data was included. They unilaterally removed it
from my account last month and pronounced that this was because it was
a "special offer". This is total shite as it was a pricematch for 18
months.

Interesting. I've had no joy with OCS or the very helpful but
ultimately powerless girl at the Indian call centre I was transferred
to. They seem to all have difficulty comprehending that I don't need
their shit off-peak browsing deal as that's when I'm at home with my
ADSL. I think a call to the exec office might be my next step as well
considering they're also trying to con me over my contract expiry
date: January 2007 + 18 months = June 2008. They, however, now reckon
that taking out a 12-month Orange Broadband contract in March/April
2007 "restarted" the 18-month term.

I can't wait to be shot of them. Their service is a joke - mobile
internet rarely works and the 3G connectivity here is a joke (central
Manchester). My phone broke (again) so I had to use an old 2G one I
have spare. It was such a novelty to actually get calls/SMSs and not
have to dial numbers 3-5 times to get a connection!

I'm on a similar deal to you - racoon something or other with 900
anytime x-net minutes and unlimited texts. Howeverm, T-mobile and O2
have some good deals on at the moment either SIM-only or contract.
Orange rely on inertia to cover the fact that their service went round
the u-bend a long time ago. I'll be happy to have the minor hassle of
a number port to get rid. Such a shame - I've been with them for more
than 10 years but they're utterly useless now.
