As stated voice-guided navigation costs if using a N95. Original
firmware (v10) gave screen directions for free (probably to make up
for painfully slow gps) but that also ended with v13 (thereabouts,
whenever they added A-GPS). Voice has always cost from Nokia (from
memory about $130pa but someone else may have accurate figures as I
refuse to pay it, tho can get short term deals covering 7 days or a
month if just need it for a particular trip). Free voice nav can be
gotten from nav4all.com until 2010. Google maps can give screen
directions as well but no voice. Like all gps the directions sometimes
wrong! They are a guide rather than the oracle! Plenty of internet
threads discussing the pros and cons of Nok Maps - I personally think
they suck, but that may be because I keep going to places they don't
cover too well (like parts of Sydney)!
