ok I increased the rings my end by activating voicemail and then keying in
**61*901*11*30# where 30 is the number of second before voice mail kicks in.
That's an improvement .. but it used to ring until the cows came home with
no voicemail activated ..
30 seconds is still not long enough for my friends elderly mother
so I'm still looking for a better solution
