One of the problems with using eqpt which does not, as yet, have a ratified standard is that you cannot guarantee that 2 different manufacturers equipment will give the same performance as 2 items from the same manufacturer. The 2 linksys items are probably using 40MHz channels when working together to provide the 270 Mb's speed.
