I discovered a possible place a tad further inland to provide excellent coverage... would require council approval but it's a "community project".. I'll have a talk with Techie about it though

While that's figured out with consent and hardware to use, I could act as an intermediatary. I should be able to get a fairly solid link with Techie and Redevil, so the irish theory of a tightly packed triangular cell works out well, and I have a fairly good view of wellington, so a pair of satennas and some crossed fingers could do the trick for a cross harbour link...

The alternative however is to approach either www.araneo.net (they link from the train station to the weltec tower) or www.nzwireless.co.nz (they link via somes to fairfield) and ask if their infrastructure can be shared for a fee... wouldnt hurt to ask...
