If any one is interested I can confirm that the syntax error issue was caused by the case of the letters in the MAC address.

For anyone else having trouble with Syntax Errors while entering a CLient MAC on an MW1122 I would recommend you use the following formating rules.

aa:bb:00:11:a0:b1

noting that all letters are lower case and each set of 2 characters is seperated by a :

Now - seriously, where that's firmware at?
