The phone is Edge, not 3G
I went back to my old XP laptop which used to work with this phone and
got a similar error. I have a suspicion that AT&T has plugged the
loophole which allowed laptops to use MediaNet. I may have to use the
$60 Data Connect service for the time I'll be traveling.
I didn't try AT&T's Communication Manager, but may do so if nothing
else looks better.
