No, you will need 2 APs, or else a dual radio AP, but those are silly money, so go with 2 normal accesspoints.

If you have the local accesspoint (away from the uni) on the same SSID as the ones at the uni, you will need to get a client mode accesspoint that will allow you to specify the mac address it connects to, the older dlink 2000 firmware did this, and it was good because it meant that it would always client off the accesspoint that you chose, whereas the newer firmwares use teh SSID and find the mac address, and when I tried it would always end up clienting to the AP sitting beside it so not do anything usefull other then sit there repeating packets back to itself.
