Car-kit with an external aerial placed strategically may do
the trick, but fewer and fewer handsets have aerial sockets
these days.
Also Google GSM desk phones, I was surprised how cheap
these were when I looked some time ago, and you should
be able to obtain a compatible external aerial but remember
that cable loss is not insignificant especially at 1800 MHz
