I'm looking to start a WISP in the Wellington region in the next 1-2 years for initially about 50 customers with more to come later on. I'm looking for a 10Mbit+ internet connection to support this, and I will need a /26 block of public IP addresses. Getting 10Mbit internet isn't too difficult, but the data costs a heinously high amount. The cheapest price I could get was $1200+gst per month for 80GB of data alone ($300 more for the connection, which isn't a problem). So the ~150-300GB required would be a minimum of $2300 a month or so. Is there a cheaper way to do it? I would hope to pay more like $5-10 per GB.

Cable would be OK but as far as I can tell, no suppliers of it are able to provide more than one IP address (a Telstraclear limitation I believe).

Any better ideas?
