WDS is simply a WAP repeater for connections by wireless *clients* (WC),
so it will only work in the kind of topology I described. Think of WDS
as a kind of WAP.

Sure. Already posted some. The easy ways are:

Ethernet<-->WAP----------WCB<-->Ethernet

or

Ethernet<-->WCB----------WAP<-->Ethernet
