There are a sprinkling of houses in the hills along both sides of the plains and gulf that would have more than enough elevation to deal to the fresnel and curvature problems, but certainly path loss would still be an issue. Just need to persuade some of those peple with the good views to become wireless junkies :wink: or that parabolic dishes are the latest in house accesories!
