Thanks again Whetu , Ok no joy man I suck at this can you please run through for me how to change your puters IP Addy as I want to make sure that Im in the right place .sorry to be such a vegetable ! You are right about the gateway addy my routers IP is 192.168.1.115. I can see your point about needing to be on the same IP but I cant get into this damn AP to change anything .I have tryed pulling my RJ45 out of the router and put it straight into the AP and still no joy this is crazy !! but thanks for all your help .will keep trying I guess but treat me as a complete dummy ....lol
