When I worked in the Metrology Lab of the Charleston Naval Shipyard, of
course, there was a total camera ban, God forbid......

One of the guys brought his massive VHS camcorder into the shop and fixed
it after work on his workbench full of test equipment before he took it
home. I followed him into the shipyard, just to see what would happen at
the gate with that monstrous papparazzi-looking beast on his shoulder.

Some security, the guard never said a word to him....(c;

There used to be an old shipyard joke about this guy that left the yard
every day wheeling a huge red wheelbarrow full of straw out the gate. The
guards went through his wheelbarrow every day looking to see what he was
stealing. At his retirement party, everyone wanted him to fess up to what
he was stealing.....
