Well I've been promoting NZWireless.org on the net for a while now, building up backwards links and optimising our site. You wouldn't believe some of the crazy search terms which our site gets found on.

When the whole press release/promotion thing came up last time, we (Seton, Simon and myself) decided to hold off on doing anything until we had a network. The network is building now, but it's still in the early days.
It's sort of a catch 22, the network won't build unless we let more people know about it, and people won't join unless the network grows.

At the moment I'm writing up a document to present to councils from different areas to try and get some backing. Hopefully then we can offer a service to people in the community who don't know much about computers/don't have time to do all the work we're doing at the moment.

As for t-shirts, car bumper stickers etc, I guess they can't hurt, there's no such thing as bad publicity, but we really do need a better logo.

If anyone wants to design a logo/t-shirt etc, let me know.
