just because you haven't updated the firmware in a while, doesn't mean that you are out of date . . .it may just be that the company hasn't bothered updating or doesn't need to update as it works fine. Firmware updates usually are to fix problems that weren't discovered before product launch... or to update version 1 product to the newest version
