I have recently installed a wireless network in my office. All the PC’s use Belkin G USB network adapters, they all work fine except for one. It is not the furthest PC from the hub and normally gets an excellent signal.

When starting up this one computer it cannot find a wireless connection, even though using the Belkin software it says there is one available. However trying to connect to it doesn’t seem to do anything. When you disable the network in Network connections Windows finds an available network but it cannot connect to it saying the network is out of range.

To get connected to the network you need to disable the network in Network connections and then enable it again, eventually the network will be found and connected to. However this must be done every time you turn the computer on.

I have swapped over the network adapters with a fully working one and get the same problem, does this mean there are some settings on the computer that stop it from connecting every time I turn it on? It is quite annoying.

The computer is running the same version of XP and service pack as the others and as far as I can see doesn’t have any software that may affect the connection.

Any ideas?
