There are various docking stations that let you connect your cell phone to
your home phone wiring and let all your regular phones talk to your cell
phone as if it were a POTS line. With something like that, whatever
ultra-loud ringer he had connected to his landline phone would work as
before. I would expect that there must be some sort of solution involving
BlueTooth. It probably was designed into my V3M and then disabled by
Verizon.
