Moin guys! Yesterday evening i tryed to do my usual backup with my (ex)
glorious n-gage (first edition) to the mmc. Backup failed with a
"System error: memory card". Seen this i plugged my n-gage via usb to
the pc and stored on the pc the one week old backupfile, so, at the
moment I've backup.arc file on my computer.
I formatted mmc with my n-gage and tryed to backup again but still same
error evein if the mmc was readable using a filemanage from the n-gage
itself.
I restarted the phone and it wont start any more. When i swith if on
"NOKIA" appears, then after some seconds it goes away and the screen is
complitely white and lighted on (keypad is still lighted off). After a
couple of seconds the phone restars. I restarts 3 time then it stop any
kind of activity. I tryed everything. With or without mmc and/or sim
card.
Just one thing worked: with n-gage swithed off i plugged in the usb
cable connected to my computer. I swithed on the phone and the system
started. Everything was ok even if it still wonted backup anything to
my mmc. From the moment my n-gage was swithed on and working I
permormed a softreset with *#7780#. My n-gage asked for securuty code,
wrote it, pressed ok and death followed. I swith it on, "NOKIA"
appers... white screen... selfreboot...selfreboot... death.
Any idea on how to save my n-gage life?
If n-gage is completly died forever... is there any way to get back my
2 years of sms/mms with my girlfriend from backup.arc file I've in my
computer?
