Default Re: Motorola RAZR V3m Multimedia Phone

Don't listen to Larry...
He a nabob of negativity and rarely has anything positive to say.
That and the nutty conspiracy theories and rabid anti-Semitism...

To your question: it's a decent phone.

The phone has respectable performance. As a phone, it works fairly well.
The form factor is great, slim and light, yet still has a good 'feel'.

Larry is correct that it really isn't a PDA or a camera replacement - it isn't
meant to be. Just keep that in mind. Nice to take a snap in a pinch, but that
is it. You can also sync it with Windows Media Player for tunes if you want.
It isn't an iPod, but will do in a pinch.

He mentions Bluetooth and Verizon "hobbling" it. Easily remedied however.
(Explore howardforums.com - all info and alot more there)
With a little work on your part - ANY function needed can be restored easily.

Larry mentions "storage". What the moron fails to understand is that the V3m
has a slot for a microSD card. Get a 1G or 2G card and have storage up the wazoo.
And again, with a little hofo magic, you can EASILY transfer content to wherever.

Certainly the Internet on such a small device has it's limits. But then, having Internet
when you are out and about and really need it is VERY handy. Remember, you'd
have Google in your pocket, at all times. Need to find the nearest Best Buy? But,
sitting in your car? You can find out easily right then and there. I look at the DOT
traffic page all the time - VERY handy. There are MANY reasons why having a way to
pull info from the Internet in your pocket wherever/whenever is great. I do agree that the
screen isn't big enough to do extensive browsing, but again it isn't meant to.

And, you can tether the V3m and use it as a modem with a laptop, etc, if you really need
a bigger screen. VZW does ding you $15 for this (which is BS in my opinion)

I'll let the rest of Larry's rant slide - the loony paranoia is quite obvious.
