It is obvious what you know and do not know.
Seems you have not been involved in long distance radio links in the VHF,
UHF, or Microwave bands.
Then you would appreciate what the article was about.

Like most everything, it sure does generate noise.
But I do not think you understand what noise is being generated and how it
affects receiver sensitivity.
