That's what I would have thought, but I've had no problems in south
Florida with Verizon, despite being only at 1900 MHz. Verizon was
top-rated for the Miami metro area by Consumer Reports, which surprised
me. Maybe because it's so flat, the negative aspects of 1900 MHz aren't
as readily apparent.
Some areas of the Keys aren't that great

No Alltel where I live, though I still see their national advertising on
TV. Kind of surprising that they spend so much on national advertising
considering that much of the country can't even sign up with them.
