web n walk or similar data card options Finaly got through to the right department at T-mobile and canceled my
contract for the GPRS only data card in my laptop, was on the £13.50 a month
for 100Mb of data, which when i took it out was very cheap,
When i start going out in the camper again i will want access to the net,
and i'm wondering about the options i have....
Idealy i want a gprs/3G connection that has roaming data included, but i
don't think any UK operator is offering that for a reasonable price???
I know about the italian wind sim thing, not sure if they're doing it again
this year, but i recall it ended in july or august each year, and that's
right when i need to use the damn thing abroad (we go abroad from end of
april early may till september or even october if i still have money left)
Tho the next euro trip i plan to spend most of the time in the south of
france, wondering if there's a french data sim plan that would be easier,
any one pay as you go that an englander can get??
Or, i'm wondering about the T-mobiles web n walk thingies, the £12.50 a
month contract gives 3Gigs of data transfer, that's grps and/or 3G i assume,
is that only when used in a phone? i.e. i prefer to use a data card in the
laptop, i have a gprs only one, but can get hold of a 3g one for not much
dosh,
Just when getting a data card from t-mobile with a web n walk sim it's about
30 quid a month,
Do you have to have the web n walk thing on a phone and use that as a modem?
or can i put it in the data card and use that??
I have a t-mobile pay if you can sim for my mobile, and 5 quid lasts me 3
months, i really don't call people, just recieve calls, but data use when
we're out touring is the main thing we use.
Any suggestions to the cheapest half decent 3g/gprs data usage price plan,
idealy with data allowances abroad.. or even one based in france and with
allowances in england, or what ever,
Or would i be better off getting a pay if you can sim for hte data card, and
using that quid a day thing for the odd occasion i use it in england? and
another sim for the data card for when abroad. |
