Not a chance, I think. I don't think you'll ever see 800 MHz CDMA
in any of the original EU countries because the spectrum is used
for something else.

The CDMA in Italy is likely to be 2100 MHz UMTS W-CDMA, which is more
closely related to GSM than to Verizon CDMA.
